Philippine Embassy to Release Passports
in Sakaka on 10-11 July 2014

 

(Riyadh, KSA) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh announces the schedule of releasing of new passports on 10-11 July 2014 to be held at Olive Land Hotel at King Fahad St., (infront of Saudi Fransi Bank) in Sakaka, Al Jouf. These new passports were the passport applications filed during the consular outreach mission or Embassy on Wheels (EOW) on 02-03 May 2014 in Sakaka, Al Jouf.

The releasing of passport will start at 2:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday, 10 July 2014 and from 8:00am to 6:00pm on Friday, 11 July 2014 at the hotel lobby.

The new passports will be released ONLY to the applicants themselves or to parents of minor applicants.

Those claiming their passports are advised to bring their old passports for cancellation and the original passport receipts.

The Philippine Embassy urges applicants to take advantage of the 2-day passport releasing in Al-Jouf. Otherwise, they will have to travel to Riyadh to claim their new passports.

Announcement – Temporary Contract of Services with the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh

 

(Riyadh, 7 July 2014) The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh wishes to inform the public that it is receiving applications for an temporary Contract of Service (COS) personnel.

Applicants should possess, as a minimum qualification, a second year college education, preferably in Accounting or another field in finance, and proficiency in the English language as well as proficiency in word processing and database software such as Word and Excel.

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY URGES ALL
FILIPINOS IN YEMEN TO UPDATE
REGISTRATION ON WEBSITE

 

Further to the Advisory issued by the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh dated 27 June 2014 on the current political and security situation in Yemen, the Embassy reiterates to all Filipinos in all cities and regions of Yemen to update their registration with the Embassy, or if they have not registered in the past, to accomplish the registration form on the website of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh at www.riyadhpe.dfa.gov.ph.

Click on the Yemen flag icon located at the right side of the webpage and accomplish the online OFW Registration Form.

Currently, Yemen is under Alert Level 2. All Filipinos are advised to restrict non-essential movements and avoid public places. While those with existing labor contracts may return to Yemen, the deployment of newly-hired OFWs will remain suspended.  (END)

Philippine Embassy in Riyadh Participates in the
1st Riyadh International Exhibition

(Riyadh, 22 June 2014) –The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh participated in the Riyadh International Exhibition (First Edition) on 22 June 2014 until 25 June 2014 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in King Abdullah Road, Riyadh Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The exhibition was organized under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and under the supervision of the Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The two main objectives of the event are: (1) Show the investment trade and business opportunities offered by the Saudi economy to the business community, and (2) Deepen the international cooperation in all areas, enhance relationships and to bring views of exporters and importers closer through direct meetings during the exhibition.

The Philippines showcased the different tourist destinations in the country, which includes Puerto Princesa in Palawan and the famous beaches located in the Visayas Region and Davao. Aside from that, the visitors also inquired on specific travel packages being offered to those who want to go to the Philippines for vacation.
