Rescheduling of Consular Outreach Services in
Jubail in March 2018

 

(Riyadh, 13 February 2018) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would like to inform the Filipino community in the Eastern Province, that the consular outreach mission or “Embassy on Wheels” to be held in Jubail in March 2018 will be rescheduled accordingly:

Philippine Embassy rolls-out
Philippine Passport with 10-Year Validity
on 3 January 2018

 

(Riyadh, 14 January 2017) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is pleased to announce to the Filipino community that, on 3 January 2018, it has rolled-out the upgraded Philippine Passport with a 10-year validity period.

Similarly, Filipinos in Al Jouf, Ara and other cities in the Northern Region have also availed themselves of the 10-year passport during the conduct of the 1st Embassy on Wheels held in Al Jouf on 5-6 January 2018.

Under Republic Act 10928 which was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on 2 August 2017, the validity of regular/ordinary passports will have a validity of ten (10) years for Filipino citizens who are eighteen (18) years old and above and five (5) years for those who are below eighteen (18) years old.

Both passports with a ten (10)-year and five (5) year validity will use the current Philippine electronic passport booklets without any change in design, security features and number of pages. There are also no changes in passport application fees.

Philippine passports issued prior to 1 January 2018, which has a five (5)-year validity, shall remain valid until its expiration date.

Requirements for the Renewal of
Passport for Minor Applicants

 

(Riyadh, 30 August 2017) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh wishes to reiterate to the Filipino community the requirements for passport renewal of minor applicants (17 years old and below), as follows:

  1. Confirmed appointment (except for 7 years old and below)
  2. Personal appearance of the minor applicant
  3. Personal appearance of either parent
  4. Passport of Minor
  5. Passport of parents
  6. Original Birth Certificate of minor issued by PSA authenticated by DFA or Report of Birth with seal and signature of Consul for those born in the Kingdom.
  7. Marriage Certificate of minor’s parents issued by PSA authenticated by DFA or Report of Marriage issued by Philippine Embassy, if married in the Kingdom.

Advisory:

Walk-in Passport Applicants

(Riyadh, 16 January 2017) – Further to Press Release No. 003-2017 dated 12 January 2017, the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would like to reiterate that the Embassy may accommodate walk-in passport applicants who have an urgent need to apply for a passport because of an emergency situation and for other humanitarian considerations.

The Embassy may refuse walk-in applicants whose request to be accommodated without an appointment has no merit.

This is to avoid over-crowding inside the Embassy premises and to ensure that the consular services are delivered efficiently and within the prescribed hours.

Walk-in applicants will only be entertained after the passport applications of those who obtained an appointment have be processed.

Passport applicants should secure/book an appointment thru the Embassy’s official website at: riyadhpe.dfa.gov.ph
