The Embassy of the Philippines in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wishes to advise all Filipinos in the Kingdom that, after verification with the Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), the Detective Special Operations Unit (DSOU) Trackers Team of the CIDG International operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in no way related in whatever capacity to the PNP-CIDG.

More importantly, a written authorization and permission must be issued by both the Philippine government and the Government of Saudi Arabia before any police function can be exercised by any individual within the Kingdom’s territory.

Members of the Filipino community who represent themselves as officials of the Philippine National Police and/or use military or police ranks without any color of authority may be held liable for the crime of usurpation of authority or official functions under Article 177 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines, in addition to possible infractions of Saudi laws.
