Statement on the 19 December 2017
Missile Attack in Riyadh.

(Riyadh, 21 December 2017) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would like to inform the Filipino community in Saudi Arabia that the reported missile attack allegedly targeting the Al-Yamamah Royal Palace has been successfully intercepted by Saudi Air Defense forces. There were no reported casualties nor damage.

The overall situation in Riyadh and the other parts of Saudi Arabia is normal. There is no reason for alarm or panic.

The Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and shall provide the Filipino community of any significant development as necessary.
