ADVISORY ON PASSPORT APPOINTMENT

(Riyadh, 01 February 2018) It has come to the attention of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that certain agencies as well as private individuals have been offering assistance to Filipinos in order to obtain an appointment for the purpose of renewing their Philippine passports at the Embassy in Riyadh and during the conduct of mobile consular service or Embassy on Wheels (EOW).

These agencies and individuals have been charging an amount for the said service ranging from SR100.00 to SAR500.00.

The Embassy reiterates that this practice is not authorized by the Embassy and that obtaining an appointment through the Embassy’s website is free of charge.

The Filipino community is again reminded to be more vigilant in dealing with such agencies and individuals and to report similar unscrupulous practices to the Embassy by sending an email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Said agencies and individuals who have been engaged in the said practice should likewise immediately cease and desist from this unauthorized activity. Agencies and individuals selling passport appointment slots may face criminal charges..

In addition, the Embassy would like to announce that it is implementing measures to increase its capacity to better serve a greater number of passport applicants in the coming months.
