on the
Responsible Use of Social Media

(Riyadh, 6 February 2018) - The Philippine Embassy appeals to all Filipino nationals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be responsbile in using social media platforms, particularly in uploading materials in their personal social media accounts.

Posting of photos or videos which do not adhere with the rules and regulations of the host country is strongly discouraged as these can draw negative reactions from locals, draw the attention of the local authorities and expose our nationals to prosecution.

This advisory is being issued by the Embassy to avoid unnecessary action which may be taken against any Filipino national by local authorities. (END)
