EMBASSY REMINDS THAT APPOINTMENTS FOR PASSPORT RENEWAL ARE FREE OF CHARGE

(Riyadh, 1 April 2014) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh informs the public that appointments for passport renewal are free of charge.

The Embassy has not authorized any third party to charge for the service of making online passport appointments.

The Embassy cautions Filipinos to be wary of these unscrupulous third-party services.

An applicant for passport renewal can make his own appointment online through the Embassy’s official website, www.riyadhpe.dfa.gov.ph, or through the old website, www.philembassy-riyadh.org (which will be in operation until 15 April 2014 only).

Likewise, all Embassy fees can be found on the website or in the Embassy premises.

The public is advised to remain vigilant and meticulous to ensure that they are transacting only with the Embassy and are issued an official receipt by the Embassy. All Embassy personnel’s names are also listed on the website. (END)
