Philippine Embassy Outreach Extends
180 Passport Services in
Riyadh 2nd Industrial City

(Riyadh, 8 February 2015) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh successfully held its consular outreach mission or “Embassy on Wheels” (EOW) for male applicants at the Daawah Islamic Center in Riyadh 2nd Industrial City on 7 February 2015.  

The Embassy Consular Team was composed of Mr. Esmayaten Macapundag, Mr. Saipoden Manalao, Mr. Edison Ipac, Mr. Arturo Arpia, Mr. Noly Dulay, Mr. Melchor Remoral, and Mr. Acas Bayabao Jr. They were ably assisted by Filipino community volunteers from the Dawah Islamic Center.  The Team was able to process 180 e-Passport applications.

As part of the Embassy’s program to improve customer service, the Team conducted a client feedback survey to 180 clients, of which 139 or 77.22% responded as follows:

The Riyadh Second (2nd) Industrial City which is located at Kilo 17, Al-Kharj Road, south-east of Riyadh, was established in 1976. The development of the industrial city was carried out on a total area of more than 18 million square meters in four stages in order to satisfy the growing demand for industrial lands in Riyadh. Factories of global corporations, including electrical and automation giant ABB and household cleaning market leader Henkel Detergents, are located here. At present, the 2nd Industrial City hosts 1,050 factories and some 120,000 workers, a large number of which are Filipinos.

The next consular outreach mission will be on 13-14 February 2015 at Hafr Al Batin. (END)
