Philippine Embassy Conducts
Consular Outreach in Yemen
(Riyadh, 10 April 2014) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh visited Sana’a, Yemen, on 2-3 April 2014 to conduct a consular outreach mission for Filipinos residing and working in Yemen.
The five-member consular team, which was led by Vice Consul Redentor Genotiva and assisted by Philippine Honorary Consul to Yemen Mohammad Al Jamal, processed 98 passport renewal applications, five reports of birth, one report of marriage, and four notarial services.
Also in Sana’a during the consular mission was Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and non-resident Philippine Ambassador to Yemen Ezzedin H. Tago, who held meetings with Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials.
Ambassador Tago expressed his appreciation to Philippine Honorary Consul Al Jamal and the Filipino volunteers who helped the Embassy team during the activity. He also reminded Filipinos to register their contact details through the Embassy’s official website.
There are about 1,500 Filipinos in Yemen. (END)
