Philippine Embassy Extends
21,173 Consular Services in August 2016

(Riyadh, 20 September 2016) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is pleased to inform the Filipino community that it has extended 21,173 consular services in August 2016:

Passport Services

For passport and other related services, the Embassy processed 6,731 passport applications, as follows: 6,528 passport renewal applications; 131 new passport applications and 72 replacements of lost passport applications.

The Embassy also processed 294 passport validity extensions and 93 Travel Documents.

Consular Outreach Missions or Embassy on Wheels (EOW)

In August 2016, the Embassy conducted three (3) consular mobile missions, as follows: Special 5-day consular outreach mission in Al Khobar on 14 to 18 August 2016, Al Khobar on 19 to 20 August 2016 and Jubail on 26 to 27 August 2016.

Visa Services

A total of 362 visas were issued by the Embassy in August 2016, as follows, 349 Temporary Visitor’s Visas (9A) and 13 Diplomatic and Official (9E).

Civil Registry Services

The Embassy processed 229 civil registry documents in August 2016, as follows: 52 Reports of Marriage; 134 Reports of Birth; 36 Reports of Death; 0 Report of Fetal Death; 7 Petitions for Correction of Clerical Error under R.A. 9048; and, 0 application for Citizenship Retention and Reacquisition under R.A. 9225.

Notarial and Authentication Services

In August 2016, the Embassy provided a total of 3,329 notarial and authentication services, as follows: 3,236 notarials and 93 authentications.

Other Services

In August 2016, the Embassy was able to release 4,801 new passports.
