Embassy Conducts First Mobile Consular Activity in Sakaka for 2014

(Riyadh, 05 May 2014) – On 02-03 May 2014, the Embassy successfully conducted its first of two mobile consular activities for 2014 in the northern Saudi Arabian city of Sakaka. The consular team who travelled to the administrative capital of the Al-Jouf region to conduct the mobile consular activity was able to process a total of 359 ePassport renewals.

They were also able to release 4 epassports, and process 5 passport extensions, 8 notarial certifications and 3 Reports of Birth (ROB).

The consular team who conducted the two-day activity was assisted by volunteers from Filipino community groups based in the area. Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago thanked the Filcom volunteers for their assistance and support to the Embassy’s continuing efforts to provide consular services to as many Filipinos, especially those constrained by distance to avail themselves of these services at the Embassy in Riyadh.

The next scheduled mobile consular activity in Sakaka is slated for the third quarter of 2014.

Among those who were able to avail themselves of the consular services, 99 filled out and returned Client Feedback forms, out of 400 forms distributed. The client feedback mechanism is part of the Embassy’s program to improve customer service. The following were the results of the survey:
