PHILIPPINE EMBASSY BULLETIN
ON THE
2017 KSA AMNESTY PROGRAMME:
“A NATION WITHOUT VIOLATORS”

Bulletin No. 006

On 25 May 2017, the Philippine Embassy attended a joint meeting held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior along with the Diplomatic Missions in Riyadh of some countries who have a large number of their nationals living and working in KSA. The meeting discussed the status of implementation of the 2017 Amnesty Programme by the Saudi Government.

During the meeting, the following information was announced:

  1. The official end of the Amnesty Programme is on 25 June 2017. No extension of the Amnesty is being considered by the Saudi Government.

  2. The validity of the exit visa being given by the Jawasat is sixty (60) days. Even if an applicant applies on the last day of the Amnesty, the validity of the visa is still 60-days from the date of issuance. Note however, that if a person who availed of the Amnesty unduly delays his/her departure from the country, or allows his/her exit visa to expire, he/she will be penalized and deported from the Kingdom.

  3. The working hours of the Jawasat Processing Center in Malaz during Ramadan will be from 5 am to 3 pm, and 9 pm to 2 am.

In light of the above, the Philippine Embassy again reminds all illegally-staying Filipinos in the Kingdom to immediate avail of the Amnesty Programme in order to avoid being arrested, detained and deported from the Kingdom.- END
