ORAS NG PAGBOTO MAS PINAHABA

(Riyadh, 26 Abril 2016) – Simula Biyernes o sa ika-29 Abril 2016, ipatutupad ng Philippine Embassy sa Riyadh ang mas pinahabang oras ng pagboto para sa mga rehistradong botante sa Saudi Arabia.

Simula ika-29 Abril 2016, ang oras ng pagboto ay pahahabain mula alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-7 ng gabi araw-araw mula Linggo hanggang Sabado maliban sa May 09 na kung saan ang pagboto ay matatapos sa ika-12 ng tanghali.

Nauna nang ipinatupad ng Embassy ang isang oras na higit sa walong oras na itinakdang voting hours ng COMELEC. Ang pagpapahaba ng voting hours sa kabuoang labing-isang (11) oras ay ipatutupad ng Embassy upang bigyan ng higit pang pagkakataon ang lahat ng rehistradong Pilipino sa Saudi Arabia na tuparin ang kanilang karapatang bumoto.

“Inaanyayan ko ang lahat ng rehistradong botanteng Pilipino sa Saudi Arabia na maglaan ng kaunting oras upang magtungo sa Embassy at bumoto. Pinahaba ng Embassy ang oras ng pagboto upang bigyan ang mas nakararaming Pilipino na makaboto pagkatapos ng kanilang shift sa trabaho. Kasali po tayo dito!,” ani Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago.

Kasama ang pagpapahaba ng voting hours sa Voters’ Education and Rights (VOTERS) Initiative ng Embassy para sa 2016 Philippine National Elections.

Requirements:

ANY of the following may be presented to the SBEI:
  1. Original PHL passport
  2. Voter’s ID
  3. Any PHL-issued ID
  4. Iqama
  5. Seaman’s book (if seafarer)

Reminders:

Inspect your voter receipt and drop it in the receipt receptacle.

Do not leave voting area with the voter receipt.

Taking photographs of the ballot or the voter receipt is an election offense.

Campaigning inside the polling area and within a 30-meter radius, including wearing campaign material for or against any candidate or party, is an election offense.
