Philippine Embassy in Riyadh Concludes its
Canvassing of Election Returns for the 2016
National Elections

(Riyadh, 11 May 2016) The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh officially concluded its canvassing of its election returns for Overseas Voting for the 2016 National Elections.

The Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC), headed by First Secretary and Consul General Iric C. Arribas as Chairman convened immediately on 9 May 2016 at 1:00 pm (Saudi time) after the end of the 1-hour extension for voting, to accept all election returns from the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) from Riyadh, Al Khobar and Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

All consolidated election results shall be transmitted electronically to the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) in Manila.

Attached are the Certificates of Canvass (COC) showing the complete results of the Presidential, Vice–Presidential, Senatorial and Party-List elections held in Riyadh, Jeddah and AlKhobar.

Same copies are also are posted at the Philippine Embassy lobby until tomorrow, 12 May 2016.

Missing SBOC Chairman Iric Arribas together with the other SBOC Members, Vice Consul RJ Sumague and official representatives from different political parties after the conclusion of canvassing of votes in Riyadh.

The over-all conduct of the 2016 Overseas Elections for the National Elections in Riyadh was generally peaceful and orderly. The Embassy expresses its appreciation to the Filipino community in Riyadh on their support and cooperation during the elections. (END)
