Embassy Successfully Conducts Overseas Voting Outreach in Al Khobar
(Riyadh, 27 September 2015) – The Philippine Embassy successfully conducted its 24th Overseas Voting (OV) outreach mission for the year at Al Jazeera International School in Dammam on 25 to 26 September 2015.
The Embassy team facilitated a total of 410 new OV registrations-certifications during the mission.
With about a month left before the registration deadline, Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ezzedin H. Tago, again reminded all Filipinos in the Kingdom to register now as Overseas Voters to avoid long queues expected during the last days of registration. “Mag-rehistro na po ang lahat at iwasan ang mahabang pila. ‘Wag na po tayong last minute registrants,” said Ambassador Tago.
The deadline for registration is on 31 October 2015.
Registering as Overseas Voter will allow qualified Filipinos abroad to vote for positions of President, Vice President, 12 members of Senate and one party-list sectoral representative during the National Elections in May 2016.
