The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh commends the Saudi Ministry of Labor for its recent launching of its portal website on the domestic labor program with address at www.musaned.gov.sa/en which is in both the English and Arabic languages.

“The news on the portal was conveyed to the Philippine delegation attending the 2nd Joint Committee Meeting on the bilateral agreement on domestic workers back in February 2014, and we have found the portal after its actual launching to be very informative and useful, especially the sections on the rights and obligations of employees and employers and the process on how a worker may file a complaint to the Saudi Labor Grievance Committee which is now possible after the issuance of Royal Decree 310 as of 09/09/1434H,” commented Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin Tago.

The portal website also contains for downloading in various languages brochures on the Saudi domestic labor regulations passed in late 2013.

The Embassy invites Filipinos especially household workers in various categories to visit the website. The information is useful for the general public in order to be fully aware of the regulations for domestic workers in Saudi Arabia.

The Embassy attaches with this press release the brochure in Arabic, English and Tagalog.###
