Philippine Embassy Promotes “I AM FOR PEACE” Campaign
Through “Postcards for Peace” Online Photo Contest

(Riyadh, 23 February 2016) The Philippine Embassy informs the Filipino Community in Riyadh on the launching of the “I AM FOR PEACE” campaign of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP). The campaign is aimed in building a strong community by supporting the government’s efforts in achieving a just and lasting peace for the country.

In line with this, an Online Photo Contest, “Postcards for Peace” headed by OPAPP, was recently launched at the Embassy for all Filipino community in the Kingdom. The postcards represent the five (5) key themes very close to every Filipino’s heart such as: Family, Love, Generosity, Reconciliation and Children. The cards are given for free and are available at the Philippine Embassy.

The mechanics of the contest are as follows:

  1. Submit photos or selfie of the “Postcards for Peace” with your written message on the card answering the question, “What can you contribute to Peace?”
  2. Upload the photo or selfie in any social media account like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  3. Make sure to tag the I AM FOR PEACE page in the uploaded photo for it to qualify as an entry to the contest. Also include hashtags #PostcardsForPeace and #IAMForPEACE.
  4. The most creative photo, most captivating message and most number of Likes and Shares has greater chances of winning in the contest.
  5. Submission of entries is until 15 March 2016 only.
  6. Prizes:

                   First Price            Php 7,000.00
                   Second Price      Php 5,000.00
                   Third Price          Php 3,000.00
