PHILIPPINE EMBASSY AND POLO IN RIYADH
ESTABLISH JOINT ASSISTANCE DESK TO
ASSIST OVERSEAS FILIPINOS IN SAUDI ARABIA

The Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Riyadh have recently activated their Joint Assistance Desk (JAD) which shall respond to requests for assistance from Overseas Filipinos based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Assistance to Nationals (ATN) and Labor concerns.

ATN concerns relate to assistance for criminal cases; immigration cases, detention; shipment of remains; and road traffic accident cases.

Labor concerns relate to employment – related concerns such as medical referrals; non performance of family obligations; ascertaining whereabouts, runaways, and other grievances; repatriation, particularly of documented workers; death benefits, ends-of-service benefits, insurance claims and other benefits arising from employment, such as unpaid salaries, unpaid benefits, working conditions, final exit and repatriation.

The activation of the JAD is part of a series of ongoing efforts to improve the capacity of the Embassy and POLO for the efficient delivery of services to Overseas Filipinos in need of asssitance. Other improvements to the Embassy and POLO’s services shall be announced to the public shortly.

The abovementioned contact numbers and email address are for those under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, particularly the regions of Riyadh, Eastern Region, Qassim Region, Hail Region, Northern Border Region, and Al-Jouf Region.

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (www.jeddahpcg.dfa.gov.ph) handles labor and ATN concerns for those in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukkarramah, Al-Madinah, Asir, Jazan, Najran, Baha, and Tabuk.
