Order of Sikatuna Conferred on
Former Saudi Ambassador to the Philippines,
H.E. Abdullah Al Hassan
(Riyadh, 12 May 2016) – On 9 May 2016, H.E. Ezzedin H. Tago, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia conferred the Order of Sikatuna to H.E. Abdullah Al Hassan, former Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of the Philippines.
The ceremony, held at the Philippine Embassy Chancery, was witnessed by Hon. Rafael E. Seguis, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs and former Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Iric C. Arribas, First Secretary and Consul General, officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, and guests from the media.
The Order of Sikatuna i s the national order of diplomatic merit of the Republic of the Philippines .
It is conferred upon individuals who have rendered exceptional and meritorious services to the Republic of the Philippines, upon diplomats, officials and nationals of foreign states who have rendered exemplary service in fostering, developing and strengthening relations between their country and the Philippines.
Ambassador Al Hassan was conferred the Order of Sikatuna with the rank of Datu - Katangiang Pilak, on 17 February 2015 by President Benigno S. Aquino II, at the end of his tour of duty as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of the Philippines.(END)
