PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR TO SAUDI ARABIA BIDS
FAREWELL TO RIYADH EMIR HRH PRINCE FAISAL BIN
BANDAR AL-SAUD

(Riyadh, 05 June 2016) Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ezzedin H. Tago, made a courtesy call on His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Emir of Riyadh Region, on 01 June 2016 at the Office of the Emir in Riyadh, to bid the Emir farewell.
Ambassador Tago was accompanied during the farewell call by Mr. Iric Arribas, First Secretary and Consul General, and Mr. Redentor Genotiva, Second Secretary and Consul.
Ambasssador Tago conveyed to the Emir of Riyadh the appreciation of H.E. President Benigno Aquino III to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting more than 870,000 Filipinos in the Kingdom, and for the regular assistance extended by the Kingdom’s leadership, under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.

The Philippine Ambassador noted that the numbers of Filipinos in Saudi Arabia continues to increase over the years, and has recently reached 872,846 as of 30/4/1437H or 9 February 2016 (official numbers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
The Philippine Ambassador thanked the Emir and the rest of his officials who continue to extend the facilities of his good offices to assist in the resolution of various welfare cases of Filipinos in Riyadh Region.
Ambassador Ezzedin Tago served in Riyadh as Charge d’Affaires from 02 October 2010 to 9 September 2011, and as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 9 September 2011. He completes his tour of duty in the end of June 2016. (END)
