Bids Farewell to Saudi Senior MFA Officials
H.E. Ezzedin H. Tago during his farewell call on
H.E. Dr. Khalid Al Jandan, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations
(Riyadh, 9 June 2016) – Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ezzedin Tago, met with key officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 9 June 2016.
During the farewell calls on H.E. Dr. Khalid Al Jandan, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and H.E. Mustafa M.H. Kawthar, Director General for Asia, Ambassador Tago was accompanied by First Secretary and Consul Mary Jennifer D. Dingal.
During the farewell calls, Ambassador Tago and the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials expressed optimism that there are still many potential areas for bilateral cooperation, especially in trade and investments and economic and commercial relations.
Both sides cited the positive contribution of Filipinos in the Saudi economy and national development over the past 4 decades, and the positive effect of presence of Filipinos in Saudi Arabia on people-to-people relations.

Ambassador Tago cited that more Saudis, including Saudi families, are now visiting the Philippines for tourism purposes compared to four years ago.
Both sides also reviewed the status of pending bilateral agreements as well as those which are ready for signing in the near future.
Ambassador Tago also conveyed the appreciation of H.E. President Benigno Aquino III to the Kingdom’s leadership, particularly the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud for the hospitality accorded to over 870,000 Filipinos working in Saudi Arabia. (END)
