Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Conducts Special
Professional Licensure Board Examinations (SPLBE) in Saudi
Arabia on 1 – 3 September 2017

(Riyadh, 13 September 2017) – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), in cooperation with The Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Philippine Overseas Labor Offices in Riyadh and Al-Khobar, Philippine National Police and volunteers from the Philippine Professional Organization, conducted the 2017 Special Professional Licensure Board Examinations (SPLBE) in Riyadh and Al-Khobar on 1-3 September 2017.

Representatives from the PRC composed of a 7-member team for Riyadh and a 3-member team for Al-Khobar arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 27 August 2017 for the conduct of the said examinations. 

A total of 1,048 Filipino aspiring professionals, 722 from Riyadh and 326 from the Eastern Region, took the various licensure examinations, a 3.45% increase from last year’s total number of examinees.  The SPBLE were held at the King Faisal Specialist and Research Hospital (KFSRH) in Riyadh and at the International Philippine School in Al-Khobar (IPSA).

Members of the PRC delegation led by Mr. Reynaldo V. Cristobal of the PRC team-Riyadh and Atty. Eugenio Riego II of the PRC team- Al-Khobar, expressed their appreciation to the Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Philippine Overseas Labor Office and the Philippine Professional Organization for their assistance in the activities related to the examinations, including the three-day registration period and the orientation for Proctors and Watchers.

Aside from Riyadh and Al-Khobar, the SPLBE in the Middle East were also conducted simultaneously in Jeddah, KSA; Doha, Qatar; Abu-Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al Ahmadi, Kuwait; Muscat, Oman; and Tel Aviv, Israel.
