(Riyadh, 30 November 2017) – Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Atty. Adnan V. Alonto, presented an open copy of his Letter of Credence to H.E. Dr. Nizar Bin Obaid Madani, Minister of State of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 30 November 2017.

The meeting was Ambassador Alonto’s first official diplomatic engagement since his arrival in the Kingdom on 15 November 2017.

During the meeting, Ambassador Alonto extended the felicitations of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the Filipino people to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Saudi government and its people.

He also expressed his deep respect and support for the Kingdom as well as his eagerness to strengthen Philippines-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations by building on the gains of the recent visit of President Duterte to the Kingdom last April 2017.

Prior to Ambassador Alonto’s meeting with H.E. Madani, he was received by H. E. Azzam Al Gein, Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs. He also met with H.E. Feisal Alamoudy, Director General for Asia.

Ambassador Alonto was accompanied by First Secretary and Consul Mary Jennifer D. Dingal, Head of the Political and Consular Section, and Attache Tomara M. Ayo.
