Missing

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh is set to reach over 70,000 passport applications for 2014, as it already has processed and released 61,348 e-Passports as of 30 October this year.

The Philippine Embassy has experienced increases in passport applications every year, at an average increase of 10-20 percent every year. In 2010, the Embassy processed and released 34,490 passports and the number has been increasing every year, reaching 73,343 passports in 2013 which included 6222 passports that were replacements for lost passports related to the correction period.

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh has implemented an online appointment system for passport applications since 2012, but at the same time allowing walk-in applicants for newly born children, applicants for replacement for lost passports, senior and disabled applicants, and applicants for passport extension subject to the conditions earlier announced by the DFA and the Embassy.   The appointment system has not in anyway reduced the number of applicants, and has reduced the waiting time for any applicant at the Embassy or during consular outreach. There are over 300 appointment slots scheduled everyday, but about 30 percent do not show up for their appointments.
